12 killed in Sindhupalchowk bus accident, more casualties feared

SINDHUPALCHOWK, Dec 15: At least 12 people have been killed when a passenger bus Ba 2 Kha 4468 en route to Bhaktapur from Kalinchowk veered off the road at Panck Kilo in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-5 of Sindhupalchowk district, along the Khadichour-Jiri road section, on Sunday morning.

All 12 passengers were killed on the spot.

The bus lost control and plunged some 500 meters down the road at around 8:30 am in the morning, according to the police. The police said more casualties are feared they are carrying out rescue work in the incident site.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.
