PM Oli’s address to parliament postponed for tomorrow
KATHMANDU, Feb 15: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli will address the House of Representatives tomorrow, according to the Parliament Secretariat.
PM Oli was scheduled to address the parliament on Friday but was deferred following the death of Nepal Congress National Assembly member Durga Prasad Upadhyay.
A cancer patient, Upadhyay, 50, passed away at his residence in Lumbini Sanskritik Municipality-10 in Rupendahi on Friday.
The parliament meeting today will pass the condolence motion before halting the meeting, stated the Secretariat.
The meeting has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 11 am, where the prime minister will apprise the parliament about the government’s activities and achievements.
The Oli-government is completing two-years on Feb 15.
