PM Oli visits Teaching Hospital to remove stent
KATHMANDU, March 15: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has reached the TU Teaching Hospital on Sunday morning to remove the ureteral stent placed inside his body during his second kidney transplantation.
The 69-year-old prime minister was discharged on Friday, nine days after he underwent a renal transplantation.
According to PM’s press advisor Surya Thapa, he will return to his official residence in Baluwatar after the removal of stent and some follow-up tests.
Although he has been discharged from the hospital, the doctors have advised the prime minister to have rest for at least two weeks and stay in his residence for a few months to avoid possible infection.
Oli is scheduled to attend a video conference with the other leaders of SAARC countries today evening to discuss a joint strategy to fight coronavirus.
