A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on 29 June has decided to grant conditional labour permit which was put on hold due to risks stemming from an outbreak of coronavirus.
Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada said the government would grant work permit to those who returned home on leave from overseas work and have a valid VISA along with a working contract in a way to comply with the COVID-19 tests and health protocol.
“The re-approval would be issued based on the availability of renewed contract following the completion of earlier tenure and upon the application of the person having extended visa period with necessary required documents as well as the compliance of COVID-19 tests and health related protocol”, he further said.
Likewise, the government has decided to continue the lockdown order issued on 31 May 2020 in accordance with the Infectious Disease Act-2020 BS up to 21 July.
Likewise, on the basis of the mapping of COVID-19 risks, an arrangement has been made that entire or partial territory of the district can be closed or sealed off in coordination with the Crisis Management Centre and Ministry of Health and Population.(RSS)
