Ram Bilas Mahara took the life of his wife Runa Devi Mahara at his home on Saturday evening.

Police confirmed that Ram Bilas hacked her wife to death.

As the murderer has fled the scene after the incident, the reason behind the murder is yet to be established, said police.

Runa Devi is survived by two sons.

Police identified the dead as ASI Moti Lal Baigar of Tarataal of Bardiya and Deepesh K.C of Tharmare-1. The two had come into contact with the high-tension line with the earthing of an electric power pole. Local said that KC was grazing cattle while ASI was electrocuted as he went to rescue the boy.

Police identified the dead as Bina Kumari Chaudhary of Sisahaniya VDC-4 in Dang district and armyman Rajan Rai and his son. Rai was working in Jumla in the army barrack.  All the injured are receiving treatment in local hospital.

The accident occurred after the bus(Na 4 Kha 7398) en route to Bardiya from Baglung hit another parked bus(Na 3 Kha 5168) at Umarichowk of Shivapur, Kapilbastu.

The seventeen year old Bibek Thapa of Bangaon, Bhimdattanagar Municipality drowned when he and his friends had dived into the Mahakali River irrigation canal for swimming on the way home after attending tuition classes.

Locals and police found Thapa´s body in the canal after a two-hour after the incident. The body has been sent to the Mahakali Zonal Hospital for post-mortem, police said.

Motorcyclist Krishna Raj Sedhai, 36, of Benighat VDC-1 in Dhading district after his motorcycle ( Ba 24 Pa 7305) collided with a parked truck, traffic police said.

Pillion rider Mahendra Sedhai was injured in the incident.

Likewise, at least one person was killed and over two dozens were injured after a passenger bus turned turtle at Hariwan, Sarlahi.

The bus (Na 2 Kha 4002) en route to Udayapur from Kathmandu met with the accident due to over speed, police said. The injured are being treated in different hospitals in the district.

In an another incident of road accident in Sarlahi district, a tractor driver died last night. Mahesh Raya, 26, of Netragunj VDC-6 in the district died after the tractor met with the accident.

Meanwhile, another person has gone missing in Sunkoshi river in the district. Driver of a Tata Sumo van (Ba 4 Cha 496) who had gone to take a bath in Sunkoshi river near Kusheshowr Dumja has gone missing this afternoon. Shree Krishna Khadgi of Banepa-3 went missing, police said.
