KATHMANDU, Oct 3: Gopal Kirati, CPN (Maoist Center) leader Gopal Kirati has accused party chair CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ of yielding to UML.

Maoist Center (MC) at a party secretariat meeting held on Monday decided to contest the upcoming elections of House of Representatives and Province Assembly by making alliance with UML. The party is also targeting unification with CPN-UML.

Leader expressed his dissatisfaction over the party’s decision to start talks with UML about possible unification between the two leftist forces.. “Unacceptable! Prachanda is betraying the party’s achievements of 10-year long armed struggle by merging with UML,” he said to Reporters’ Club Nepal.

“He surrendered to Oli,” added Kirati who during the secretariat meeting had opposed the party’s unification proposal.

“It’s contrasting to communist revolution,” he added.
