20 parties also authorise Bhattarai to resolve deadlock



Kathmandu, December 03. A meeting of the 20-party alliance led by UCPN-Maoist today decided to assign the Chairperson of the Constitutional-Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC) Baburam Bhattarai to break the deadlock prevailing in the CPDCC.

According to the Constituent Assembly (CA) member Laxman Lal Karna, the meeting held at the office of UCPN-Maoist’s Legislature-Parliament Board, agreed to allow the Chairperson of the CPDCC to use his discretion to further the submission process of the proposal that the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML brought and presented in the CPDCC to the Constituent Assembly (CA).

Earlier, major parties of the CA had also decided to assign the CPDCC Chairperson to resolve the deadlock. RSS
