We won’t protest in the visit of Modi : Gajurel



Kathmandu, July 28. CPN-Maoist Vice-Chairman CP Gajurel has said that his party would not protest the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking at the interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club on Monday, Gajurel said “We will not protest against the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We don’t have any protest programmes, he added.

However, Gajurel stressed that the CPN-Maoist was willing to hold dialogue with the Prime Minister of southern neighbour. Gajurel claimed that his party has good relations with the people and political parties of India.

Speaking at the program presided by the Reporters’ Club president Rishi Dhamala, Gajurel said-“We also want a hydro deal with India for the sake of Nepal’s bright future,”.

Moreover, he was of the opinion that his party had also wanted to have a meeting with Indian External Minister. However, he said that the visiting leader Swaraj had not met with his party leaders, was made them surprised.  Gajurel also said that the “so-called Constituent Assembly would not be able to deliver the people’s constitution.”

While in the concern of his intra-party rift, Leader Gajurel has said that leaders of his party are holding talks to settle down the intra-party rift. He added,- it would be resolved from the special general convention of the party.
