Two die in Butwal road mishap

Butwal, October 26. Two people died in a road accident that took place in Dobhan VDC along the Butwal-Palpa road section of the Siddhartha Highway on Friday night.

The deceased have been identified as Khem Bahadur Gurung (approximately 18) of Dobhan VDC-2 and Padam Shrestha of Dobhan VDC-4, according to the Regional Traffic Police Office, Butwal.

The accident took place when a truck (Lu 1 Ka 730) heading towards Palpa from Butwal and a motorcycle (Lu 10 Pa 2084) coming from opposite direction collided with each other.

The bodies have been kept at Lumbini Zonal Hospital for postmortem. Police have arrested the truck driver and investigation into the case is underway, it is learnt. RSS
