ICC World Cricket League Division-III: Nepal vs USA game called off due to rain



Kathmandu, October 27.  The match between Nepal and USA in the in the ICC World Cricket League Division-III tournament has been called off because of rain on Monday.

Nepali batsmen were struggling at the crease when the game was called off after the seventh over of the second innings. Chasing a revised target of 162 runs in 30 overs, Nepal were 27-3 in seven overs when the players left the field due to rain.

There will be a new game between USA and Nepal tomorrow as there was no result from the game called off today. Nepal has four points from three games with two wins and a loss while USA has just two points with a single win in three games.

Earlier, USA had posted a target of 205 runs after winning the toss and deciding to bat first. Steve Massiah made a brisk 74 runs (60 balls) and while Fahad Babar contributed with 47 runs, helping the team reach a competitive total.
