Reporters Club Nepal Marks 17th Anniversary

KATHMANDU, March 31: Reporters Club Nepal is celebrating its 17th anniversary by organizing a special program at the Nepal Academy Hall in Kathmandu on Tuesday. The program kicked off at 1 PM.

Chief guest Prime Minister Sushil Koirala is scheduled to unviel the RCN’s souvenir entitled “Maitrimaya Modi” – an issue that the club said was dedicated to the Nepal India bilateral relationship, the initiatives taken by the Modi government in India and and the potentials it carries for Nepal’s development.

Along with PM Koirala, the program will be participated by political parties leaders, bureaucrats, diplomats, business community leaders, social workers, national and international journalists among others.

The Annual General Meeting, to be followed, is expected to elect a new executive committee for the club along with reviewing its existing policies and operational guidelines, Reporters Club Nepal’s President Rishi Dhamala said.

Political party leaders have been requested for elaborating on the issue of constitution drafting and on the efforts being made to forge political consensus among political actors, Dhamala added.
