The govt is exhibiting double standard: KP Oli

JHAPA, Feb 3: CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has accused the government of wasting time instead of making preparations to hold the elections on time.

While addressing the second full meeting of cadres of UML Constituency -1 in Jhapa, today he said, “The government has no intention of holding elections.”

He added,””The government says  it is set for elections. On the contary, it also says the polls cannot take place unless the amendment bill is passed. Government is exhibiting double standard”

He also claimed that the country will plunge into a severe political crisis if the elections fail to take place within the stipulated time (11 months remaining).

Also on the occasion, UML leader Subash Chandra Nembang said the present constitution has accommodated demands of all and that there is no point of amending it.
