Oli and Dahal have already agreed for PM and Party chair, says Modi

Aman Lal Modi

KATHMANDU, Jan 16: CPN (Maoist Center) leader, Aman Lal Modi, has asked people not to harbor any doubt about the unification between Maoist Center and UML.

“Some differences occur when two parties opt for unification. It’s normal. But the major point is, we are aware that people voted the left alliance not just for making left government but unity between the two parties as well,” said Modi while talking to Rishi Dhamala during a program Nepali Bahas at Nepali Radio Network on Tuesday.

“We will overcome the differences. I want to tell people not to have any doubt about the unification between UML and Maoist Center,” he added.

“The six-member task force will sort out any differences seen in the merger process,” furthered Modi.

He also stressed on party unification before the formation of a new government. He said,” Since Nepali Congress-led government delaying to pave way for new government, we are utilizing the break to prioritize the unity process.”

Modi further said that UML Chair KP Oli and Maoist Center Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal have already agreed to share the posts of prime minister and party chair one for each. “If Oli becomes the prime minister, Dahal will head the party. There is no second thought on this deal. The two chairs have already agreed on this,” he claimed.
