UML contesting polls in NGOs’ and INGOs’ support: Nayak

Nayak

SIRAHA, Sept 12: CPN (Maoist Center) leader Ajay Shankhar Nayak has accused the main opposition party CPN-UML of contesting the election in support of NGOs and INGOs.

“UML has lost moral ground to solicit votes in Madhes. It is an anti-Madhes party and is contesting the upcoming polls in support of NGOs and INGOs,” said the former Law minister while speaking at an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal in Badharamal, Siraha on Tuesday.

He also claimed that Maoist Center is the only party to fight for the Madhesi people. He said, “The MC has struggled to ascertain the rights of Madhesi people since the beginning. We honestly tried to address the Madhes grievances through constitution amendment, but failed because of UML.”

On the occasion, he claimed that the MC will win 40 to 50 seats in the province 2 election slated for September 18.
