UCPN Maoist decides to lobby for electoral government leadership
KATHMANDU: The UCPN (Maoist) has taken important decisions on the issues relating to the political consensus, its upcoming general convention and party transformation.
A meeting of the party central committee took place at party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s residence at Lazimpat this morning ended with three important decisions on the issues above mentioned.
As per the decisions, party Chairman Dahal will take the responsibility of group management and production for the transformation of the party.
Similarly, Vice Chairman and Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai is given the responsibility to look after the development projects and finance department.
Likewise, the meeting has allocated the responsibility to look after the disciplinary section to party’s another Vice Chairman and Deputy Prime Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
The meeting has made some decisions regarding the preparations for the party upcoming general convention and decided to call the meeting of the general convention preparations committee on November 21 and to gear up for holding the general convention within the scheduled date.
Likewise, the meeting has agreed to intensify talks and discussions with other political parties with top priority in the days ahead , too so as to give a way out to the nation from existing political and constitutional crisis, said Vice Chairman Shrestha after the meeting.
Party Chairman Dahal has briefed the meeting about his separate meetings with Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, CPN (UML) Chairman Jhalanath Khanal and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal held on Saturday in connection with giving a way out to the nation.
It would be better to transform the incumbent lead by the UCPN (Maoist) into the government of national consensus for holding fresh election since the party was the single largest party in the previous CA election and had announced the fresh election itself, Shrestha claimed. RSS
