Morcha signals switching allegiance, opts for election
KATHMANDU: The joint democratic madheshi morcha, second largest rulling ally of the Bhattarai led government, has decided to go for elections.
A meeting of the madhesh-based parties took such a decision during a meeting of the stakeholders held soon after its meeting with the three major political parties in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
Minister for Irrigation, Mahendra Yadav, said that the issue will be formalized during its next meeting slated for Thursday.
Along with that the meeting also dwelt on the seven point charter presented by UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.
Sources in the know how claimed that most of the Morcha’s party members expressed dissatisfaction with the UCPN Maoist’s stress on resurrecting CA and have reached conclusion to cooperate with opposition parties for holding fresh elections.
