BAGLUNG: For failing to shift the Baburam Bhattarai-led government through the peaceful talks, opposition CPN (UML) Chairman Jhalanath Khanal has termed the opponent political parties’ anti-government demonstrations as a people’s war against the ruling coalition parties.
“Present anti-government protest is the real people’s war. The 12-year war waged by the Maoists is weapons’ war,” Khanal told the media in Baglung today.
The infuriated opposition leader also ruled out the possibility of talks and consensus with the Maoists and ruling parties. “The cadres of UML and NC are ready to fight against the Maoists across the country without arms,” Khanal challenged the Maoists.
The casting of the anti-government protest across the country was satisfactory and it would show the strength of UCPN (Maoist) and its chairman Prachanda, the former prime minister who reached at the helm of power with backing from Prachanda said.
