Dailekh-based scribes return to district



DAILEKH: Twenty-two journalists who were displaced from Dailekh district last Wednesday citing insecurity have returned to their workstation today. Chairman of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Shiva Gaunle and other journalists from the capital, and government officials accompanied the displaced journalists.

Dailekh-based journalists were displaced last Wednesday due to security threats after the UCPN (Maoist) cadres issued life threats to some journalists.

Earlier, the government and the UCPN (Maoist) had urged the displaced the journalists to return the district assuring them of full security and professional guarantee.

Meanwhile, the political parties welcomed the Dailekh-based journalists upon their arrival in the districts.
