Preparations for UCPN (Maoist) conclude

HETAUDA: The inaugural function of the Seventh General Convention of the UCPN-Maoist is scheduled to be organised at Huprachour of Hetauda in Makawanpur district on Saturday.

However, the General Convention representatives of the UCPN-Maoist have begun to arrive in Hetauda as all the preparations for the General Convention have been concluded.

Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, will inaugurate the Seventh General Convention of the party, according to the UCPN-Maoist District Committee, Makawanpur.

Chairman Dahal, Vice Chairman and Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, and another Vice Chairman of the party and Deputy Prime Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, including other central office bearers are scheduled to arrive in Hetauda by tomorrow afternoon.

Meanwhile, the security condition at and around the general convention venue have been strengthened, Chief District Officer, said Durga Prasad Bhandari.

The UCPN-Maoist has decided to organise the General Convention’s closed session and lodging arrangement at Hetauda Industrial District premises.
