Closed door session of UCPN (Maoist) begins
HETAUDA: The closed door session of the ongoing seventh national congress of the ruling UCPN (Maoist) started at 9:00 am this morning.
The remaining team leaders of among 61 different groups would start deliberations on the political documents proposed by party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and other reports.
A majority of the group leaders speaking in the closed session this morning expressed displeasure as the party was deviating towards the parliamentary system by forgetting the values of the People´s War and the People´s Movement. They have demanded that the party make corrections on these issues.
Leaders of 23 teams out are scheduled to put forth their views today.
The Maoist jamboree is expecting some heated debate over the issue of nationality and party’s strategic and tactical lines as most of the cadres have been complaining that the party was not giving due respect to the core cadres.
On Tuesday, party Vice-chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha had put forward his different proposal challenging the issues pertaining to nationality in chairman Prachanda’s document.
