Prachanda’s formula is CJ-led election government
HETAUDA: The ongoing seventh general convention of the ruling UCPN (Maoist) today passed the party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s proposal to form a new election government under the leadership of incumbent Chief Justice (CJ) Khilaraj Regmi to end the ongoing political deadlock in the country.
Last week while addressing the inaugural session of the party’s general convention Prachanda had said the ongoing conclave would bring a ‘formula’ to end the deadlock.
In his four-hour-long address to the cadres, Prachanda said all the unequal treaties signed so far with India should be scrapped and new ones should be inked based on historical necessity as per the changed context.
Similarly, Prachanda has withdrawn his statement of resolving the border dispute between Nepal and India based on referendum. The point was vehemently criticized both inside and outside the party.
