UML’s SC meeting puts off
KATHMANDU: The standing committee meeting of the CPN (UML) called for today has been put off. Party senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and general secretary Ishwor Pokhrel and some leaders who oppose the party’s decision to agree on the CJ-led election government had pressed the party leadership to call the standing committee meeting.
It is learnt that the meeting was postponed following President Dr Ram Baran Yadav’s suggestions to the UML leaders not to destabilize the agreed agendas.
The UML had taken the decision to go for the cJ-led government after serious discussions in the party despite a large section of leaders stood against the CJ-led government.
Senior leader Nepal has been demanding the resignation of the Chief Justice Khilaraj Regmi if the latter was to lead the election government.
