Prospective Miss Nepal 2013 brace up for the D-Day
KATHMANDU: 29-participants of Miss Nepal 2013 have set their foot on stage in a bid to grab Nepal’s beauty crown. The competition which will choose the best talented lady with the looks, was participated by these much promising and lucky Nepali girls. Of the total, 18 participants presented their talent to the judges in the first round.
So what did these ladies put up in front of the judges as their masterpieces…. Lets have a look:
Model Asima showcased her flair by inventing her 3 types of dresses within 5 minutes.
She told us “What new things can be done, I thought then after with the perfect combo of both shawl and sari, new type of dress is developed. Renu Pokharel advocated about ‘WOMEN RIGHTS”. Why the government is being naïve to the exacerbating condition of women and women violence.
Shipora Gurung, a player of volleyball has also performed a dance in a song of “katti ramro” proving herself as a deserving candidate for Miss Nepal crown. All the participants had taken a special training session for demonstrating their talent, imbibed in them. Shrisima Shah, who had also been a good contender in numbers of other fashion shows performed in Belly dance. She had taken 5 days dance training class from choreographer Namrata K.C
The U.S returned Sumi Lama came up with her song in “okali oraliharu ma” of revered Tara Devi. Similarly, Rachana Bharati, with the use of sari and silk, made new styled dress. Maya sawadi showcased her hippop and belly dance. Dentist, Ishani Shrestha drew the portrait of lord Ganesha.
Bindu K.C performed in drama whereas the last year participant, Sujata Balami danced in a Kumari dance. She was being trained by choreographer Kripa Bajracharya .According to Gopal Sundarlal Kakhshya Pati of Hidden Treasure, new talents have been preferred and for the first time, participants have come up with fashion designing.
Miss Nepal 2011, chose Bishnu Chemjong as Miss Talent. Dance director Gobind Rai,Chandra Ravi Shrestha of Jaycees and Ravi Shrestha were the members of the panel.
Dance director Rai told us about his wonderful experience being the judge. However, Bishnu shared his nervous experience. The result of this talent round would be announced in Chaitra 7 ,on the day of final of Miss Nepal.
The name of the participants are Samikshya Shrestha,Rachana Bharati, Shipora Gurung,Bindu K.c,Maya Sawad,Ishani Shestha, Sujata Balami, Meghna Shrestha, Shrutima Shah, Pratima Giri, Oshima Banu, Rakshy Thapa, Rojisha Shahi, Ashmita Sitaula, Sumi Lama, Renu Pokharel, Aishwarya Upadhyaya and Riju Shrestha .They are now working under the trainers of choreographer Rachana Gurung and Prashant Tamrakar. THE HIDDEN TREASURE has sponsored this 18th Miss Nepal.
