UCPN (Maoist)’s CC meet begins

KATHMANDU: Just ahead of the fresh CA election date announcement, a crucial meeting of the Nepal;s largest political party has begun today.

The first central committee (CC) meeting of the UCPN (Maoist) after its 7th General Convention last month would discus party’s bid for fresh CA election and portfolio division in the party as well as some appointments in the central committee. The headquarters of the UCPN (Maoist) is expected to appoint some 50 leaders in its central committee.

Likewise, the meeting is expected to chart out some agendas for the fresh CA elections. Earlier on Tuesday, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda had said that the country has headed towards the fresh CA elections and the coalition would be made with the progressive forces to ensure their victory.
