UCPN (Maoist) CC meet to dwell on upcoming CA polls

KATHMANDU: In a bid to beef up its preparations for upcoming CA polls and nominate 53 central committee members, the CC meeting of the country’s largest party UCPN (Maoist) is going held today.

The CC meeting that postponed for five days after party leadership’s failure to finalize the CC nominees is also expected to unveil election programs.

The last meeting, the CC committee had formed two committees—manifesto drafting committee and candidate selection committee—for the CA polls.

Former Prime Minister and party’s Vice-chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai is writing the election manifesto while a team led by party general secretary Posta Bahadur Bogati is working to finalize the names of leaders for contesting elections.
