No Nepalis killed in Malaysia; only two injured in scuffle
KATHMANDU: No Nepali migrant worker was killed in an attack carried out by an armed gang of Malaysian youths, Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed by issuing a press statement today. Earlier, it was reported that six Nepali migrant workers were killed while 18 were hurt in a scuffle in a Malaysian town.
It is reported that, however, two Nepalis have sustained injuries when the Malaysian gang attacked the Nepalis at Pasir Gudang of Johor Bahru State in Malaysia on Sunday evening. The city is some 350 km west from the Malaysian capital city of Kuala Lumpur.
The Malaysian youths had attacked the Nepali workers by entering into their hostel after minor dispute took a nasty turn.
