SYANGJA: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala has forecasted possible setback to the communist, especially to the Maoists, in the upcoming CA elections. He also labelled as anti-democratic forces to the communists in Nepal.

The NC chieftain was inaugurating the western-regional gathering of NC affiliated women’s organization.

Addressing the cadres, the NC top brass said, ”Anti-democratic forces will loss major seats in the upcoming CA elections. People have known the faces of the anti-democratic forces.”

Koirala also traded charges against the communist parties for failure to draft the constitution by the erstwhile constituent assembly. He said, “The country could not get a constitution from the earlier CA due to poor position of the democratic forces.”

On the occasion, party leader Sher Bahadur Deuba asked the party rank and files to devote in the election campaign to secure more seats nationwide. He also claimed that the erstwhile CA failed to promulgate the constitution due to weaker position of the NC.
