KATHMANDU: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda said that the upcoming CA polls will mark a historic success though some reactionary forces were provoking CPN-Maoist against the polls.

Prachanda who is in a nationwide trip mission to attend the party’s programs arrived in Pokhara from Baglung this morning where he managed some time to share such views with the journos at an interaction program organized by the Revolutionary Journalists Association Kaski Chapter.

Similarly, Prachanda said that upcoming CA elections were something especial unlike that of elections announced by former monarch Gyandendra Shah.

On a separate program in the capital, Prachanda said that Nepalis across the globe should feel pride to their natural and historical heritages.

Marking the beginning of the supposed longest Television Talk Show in the capital in News 24 Television, Prachanda said Nepalis need not to go against any country to make publicity about their heritages, namely Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha and world tallest peak Mt. Everest.

On a separate context, Prachanda also claimed that he owns no property except one kattha land at Bharatpur in Chitwan district. “That land too is under the name of my wife Sita”, he told interviewer Ravi Lamichhane.

“It’s totally false publicity about my wealth. All I have is my party’s property,” Prachanda added.
