Maoist leader denies Nov elections too

Nepal's Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun at the Reporters Club Nepal

GULMI: An influential leader of the UCPN Maoist has denied possibility of holding Constituent Assembly elections in November too.

Barsha Man Pun, Standing Committee member of the party and former Finance Minister, ruled out the possibility pointing to the lack of understanding and resolution between political parties participating in the High Level Political Mechanism governing the government.
Pun’s statement comes at a time when the incumbent Regmi led government has failed to fix a date for CA elections and dissenting political parties including the CPN Maoist have denied to participate in the elections.
On the occasion, Pun slammed the government for its inability to fix a date for CA elections and also for not delivering excuse to differ the CA elections agreed for June.
