Cases filed against five infamous dons including Chakre Milan

KATHMANDU: The Department of Investigation of Money Laundering  has filed separate cases against infamous dons Chakre Milan, Dipak Manange, Abhishek Giri, Parshuram Basnet and Ganesh Lama at the Special Court today.

All the infamous dons share some political nexus in one or the other way. 

Basnet is a leader of UML’s Youth Association while Lama is central committee member of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik) led by Bijay Kumar Gachhadar.

Similarly, Basent, a contractor in major construction works in Biratnagar, was involved in thrashing Biratnagar-based journalist Khilanath Dhakal.

The Special Court is assigned to see the corruption related cases.
