KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress Vice president Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the Baneshwor meeting of some civil society leaders was against republic and democracy, thereby condemnable.

Some civil society leaders and politicians including former CA chairman Subas Nembang had gathered in New Baneshwor organizing a program on the day of Republic Day, boycotting the government’s formal republic celebration.

At a program organized by the Nepal Student Union´s Lamjung-Kathmandu Liaison Committee in the Capital today, leader Poudel also said that Khil Raj Regmi should not resign from the post of Chief Justice and the party has not asked his resignation too. “Regmi’s resignation from Chief Justice would bring further crisis,” he said.
