Big four make no headway
KATHMANDU: A meeting of the high-level political committee ended inclusively after the leaders did not budge from their earlier stance on the conflicting issues.
However, the leaders are learnt to have agreed not to keep the threshold of minimum vote to represent in the CA under the proportional seats. Similarly, the size of the CA would not exceed to 491 against the 601 of the erstwhile CA.
Top leaders of all four major political parties including UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal and United Democratic Madhesi Front leader, Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar were present at the meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for Friday.
