KATHMANDU: A cabinet meeting has decided to distribute relief materials to the flood victims of the far western districts at the earliest.
A meeting of the cabinet held today has decided to provide sufficient funds to the flood victims of the far and mid western districts.
Minister for Home Affairs Madhav Prasad Ghimire said the meeting has allocated Rs 400 million in the Prime Minister Relief Fund and Rs 110 million in the Relief Fund of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Likewise, the government has decided to provide Rs 40,000 each to flood victim. So far, 22 people lost thier lives across the district due to the floods and landslides.
