Election heart of democracy: NC President Koirala

JANAKPURDHAM: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala has said election was the heart of democracy, so all should accept it.

At a press meet organized by Press Union Dhanusha Chapter here on Thursday, President Koirala argued that the election to the Constituent Assembly would be held on stipulated date because the people were desperate for this.

He expressed confidence that all political parties would participate in the election reasoning no political party was objecting to it.

Similarly, the NC President said Madhes was backbone of the party, and claimed that the NC would gain more than two thirds majority in the coming election.

He reminded that haters of democracy are always vanquished, and the debate on monarchy at present was meaningless.
