NC bigwigs not sure about CA election without participation of hardliner Maoists
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leaders have expressed doubt over the success of the upcoming CA election without participation of the hard-line CPN-Maoist.
A meeting of the NC top leaders held at the party President Sushil Koirala drew a conclusion that a free and fair was unlikely by keeping a large party out from the election process.
President Koirala, senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba, Vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel, general secretary Prakash Man Singh and other leaders were present at the meeting.
The leaders also opined that the NC should take initiative to bring the CPN-Maoist on board the election.
Talking to nepalireporter.com, leader Arjun Narsingh KC said that the NC was ready to embrace maximum flexibility to bring the agitating parties on board the elction.
