NC chieftain Koirala off to US

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala has left home for the United States of America on Thursday evening for regular medical test.

Koirala will undergo follow-up examination of his tongue at the Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, according to his aide Laxman Dhakal.

The NC President has been undergoing a regular medical check-up every year in June since undergoing a surgery of his tongue.

He is accompanied by his sister Shashi Sharma and cousin Mridula Koirala.

Before his departure briefly talking to TIA, Koirala said that the four parties were ready for talks in all issues to bring the agitating parties in election but flatly ruled out the chances of cancellation of 11-point and 25-point order.

Koirala said CPN-Maoist cannot be out from the election process at a time when the entire world was in favor of election.
