Death toll reach 11 in Damauli road accident; bus plunges into Madi river from bridge



Update: DAMAULI: The death toll in Damauli road accident reached 11. Of the deceased, bodies of 7 men, 3 women and a baby have been recovered, according to Superintendent of Nepal Police Dev Bahadur Bohora.

The number of deceased could  go up as the rescue work is underway till late evening.

At least five persons died and many others were injured after a bus met with an accident in Damauli, Tanahun district this evening.

The bus (Na 4 Kha 4684) en route to Narayanghat from Pokhara plunged some 100 meters down in the Madi River from a bridge over the Madi River.

Seven passengers have been rescued while the rescue job is underway. Police and locals are carrying out the rescue.
