5 Nepalis migrant workers killed in Qatar

KATHMANDU: Three Nepalis were killed Qatar when a four-wheel drive vehicle ran over them when they were waiting for their bus on the roadside on Friday.

The deceased are Arjun Gautam, 20, of Jutpani in Chitwan and Ashram Tharu and Patawari Chaudhary of Bardiya while the identity of the fourth is yet to be ascertained, according to one Sanjit Mahato. Mahato has also sustained injuries in the incident.

The deceased are identified as Bivekanand Sah of Rautahat, Ramchandra Mahato of Mahottari, Arjun Gautam of Gorkha, Asharam Tharu and Patbari Chaudhary of Bardiya.

The Nepalis were working at Satiya Group at the labors.

Post-mortem of the deceased has been completed and the efforts are underway to bring their bodies at home.
