Now, Prachanda is single top leader in the UCPN (Maoist)

KATHMANDU: The extended meeting of the UCPN (Maoist) has passed the organizational proposal of Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal that aims at centralizing the entire party authority in his post. From today, all top leaders of the UCPN (Maoist) except Chairman Prachanda have become the central members.

The meeting underway in Khanna Garment in Lalitpur okeyed the proposal unopposed.

Earlier, Chairman Prachanda had tabled the proposal to calm down the intra-conflict in the party that was surfaced for the cause of post during the central committee meeting two weeks ago.

The one-man leadership was backed by Dr Baburam Bhattarai but sources said that leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha has deep reservation over the new organizational setup though he resigned from the post of vice-chairman yesterday.
