Nepal’s semi-communist party UML dreams to be largest party after CA poll

CPN UML Meeting

KATHMANDU: The CPN (UML) has claimed that it has made sufficient base for becoming the largest power through the upcoming CA election.

A meeting of the UML’s central committee held to review the party’s one-month election campaign claimed that the party would emerge as the largest party after the CA election.

The UML has forecasted second position of the Nepali Congress and third of the UCPN (Maoist).

In the last CA election, UML had 105 lawmakers while the UCPN (Maoist) had 338 lawmakers.

Likewise, the UML has nominated Ratneshwor Goit, who had joined the party in the recent weeks, as the central committee and decided to promote alternative central member Gorakh Bahadur Bogati to the central member.
