Dr Niranjan Man Singh Basnyat appointed Ambassador to Malaysia

KATHMANDU: Dr Niranjan Man Singh Basnyat has been appointed ambassador to Malaysia. A cabinet meeting on Sunday evening appointed Basnyat for the four years.

Prior to this, Basnyat was the Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

However, the government failed to appoint other ambassadors in key countries including India and others. 

Likewise, Secretary at the Ministry of Urban Development Narayan Prasad Regmi was appointed the Chairman of the High-Level Bagmati Civilization Integrated Development Committee.

The meeting also appointed Sushil Koirala as the General Manager of Gorkhapatra Corporation and Dr Shiva Hari Shrestha as General Manager of the Nepal Food Corporation.
