Kamal Thapa demands roundtable conference
PARSA: Echoing the demands of CPN-Maoist and other poll-opposing political parties, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)-Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa has also said that a round table conference should be organized to solicit the grievances of the agitating political parties including the CPN-Maoist, what he called a nationalist force.
Speaking at a press conference organised here today, Thapa expressed the view that the Chairman of the Interim Election Council Khil Raj Regmi or President Dr Ram Baran Yadav should give an outlet to country by calling an all-side roundtable conference rather than by the HLPC, which has no democratic rights and legality.
He also opined to dissolve the High-Level Political Committee (HLPC) to create a favorable environment for talks.
Thapa said that it was wrong to obstruct the CA election by using force even if a person has a democratic right whether or not to participate in the election.
