CPN Maoist issues threat letters to other political parties

NUWAKOT: Mohan Baidya led CPN Maoist has issued threat letters to various political party leaders in Nuwakot.

The party has been protesting against the proposed November 19 Constituent Assembly elections and has already announced its intentions to foil the elections.

The letters have warned that the CA elections were inviting conflict and are reported to have been sent to 42 leaders of various political parties including Nepali Congress, UCPN Maoist, CPN UML among others.

The letter signed by CPN Maoist’a acting district in charge Suresh Tamang and Secretary Meena Waiba was handed to the party office of other political parties.

The letters have explicitly urged leaders for not participating in the CA elections and a press release issued by the party later has said that the letters were a decent way to request all leaders for avoiding any confrontation by not participating in the CA elections. The release has further warned that individuals will be responsible for any untoward event if they participate in the CA elections by going against their request.
