CPN Maoist burn down vehicle used for BRB’s election campaign

KATHMANDU: Cadres of CPN Maoist put a vehicle on fire while it was being used in the election campaign of UCPN Maoist Vice Chairman Baburam Bhattarai in Rupandehi-4.

The CPN Maoist cadres also burned election IEC materials on fire at Rupandehi constituency number 1.  The cadres set fire to vehicle (Ga 1 Cha 5145) in the constituency while it was used by UCPN Maoist cadres in the election campaign of Dr. Bhattarai.

The vehicle was saved by the police who had reached the scene immediately. Police detained CPN Maoist’s district committee member Deepak Thapa and Village Committee member Khima Nanda Paudel on charges of setting fire to the vehicle.
