Rajesh Hamal against two-third majority to a single party

Kathmandu: While all the major parties are claiming that the constitution was not possible until their parties garners two-third majority in the upcoming CA polls, much-celebrated actor Rajesh Hamal has opined that two-third majority to any particular party does not bodes well to the country. “Good and capable candidates should get the verdict rather than giving a verdict two-third majority to a particular party, ” Hamal said. At an interaction programme ‘Responsibility and role of cine artists in historical CA election’ organised by Society of Nepali Film Directors in the capital on Thursday, Hamal said that excluding Mohan Baidya-led CPN-Maoist from the CA poll process was unfortunate. He, however, said that the polls was necessary in the country. Hamal said that citizens should exercise their franchise to frame a new constitution and pave the way for the prosperity of the country.
