“Consensus govt must for constitution within a year”
Hetauda: Nepali Congress Central Committee Member Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat has stressed the need of forming a consensus government at present to draft a new constitution within a year as per the fresh verdict of the people and to minimize the growing unemployment.
Inaugurating the Eighth National Convention of Nepal Financial Rastriya Banijya Bank Employees Union here today, he said the major political parties should get on the task of electing the President and the Vice President only after issuing a new constitution.
The Nepali Congress leader also urged the Unified CPN (Maoist) to jettison intransigence and join the new government to be constituted for writing constitution and taking the people towards the path of economic self-sufficiency by forging coordination and understanding in the parliament.
