First General Convention of RPP-N starts from today

KATHMANDU:The fourth largest party in the Constituent Assembly (CA) Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N)  is all set to hold its 1st General Convention from today.

According to sources, the gala will be inaugurated at 1 pm at Khula Manch in the Capital. Around 2,200 party cadres and leaders across the nation have thronged the venue to attend the gathering.

The convention will elect new leadership of the party. It has been learnt that the conference will amend the party statute and endorse the political document. The convention will conclude on Tuesday.

The slogan of the convention will be ‘nationalism, democracy and Hindu state with equal respect for all religions.’ Earlier, Party Chairman Kamal Thapa during a press conference had said that there will be three agendas for the convention—political ideology, statute amendment and election for the Central Committee.

The closed door session will be held at Academy Hall.
