Mamata Jha quits Sajha Prakashan
Kathmandu, May 24. Chairperson and General Manager of Sajha Prakashan Mamata Jha, who has been indicted of graft, announced her resignation from the state-owned publication today.
Organising a press conference at the Reporters’ Club Nepal on today,Jha said she was stepping down to protect Sajha’s reputation after corruption charge was registered against her. She said that i am quitting my post at the occasion of my birthday.
She, however, claimed that she was not involved in any financial irregularity, and stuck to rules and due process while spearheading Sajha. She said that She has always played her positive role while spearheading the publication. Jha added,” I have performed my best duties since I was appointed in the post of GM in Sajha Prakashan but some of the jealous people who have always given me tortured by filling the nonsense case against me.”
Jha said, “The ones jealous of that bothered me time and again. She added that She has contributed to maintain the
Publication in effective and improved.
On May 18, the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority filed a case against Jha at the Special Court in connection with the promotion of a junior staffers by accepting kickbacks. In the same concerns, Jha claimed that she promote to Mr. Madhav Thapaliya under the legal procedure.
She, however, did not take any names. Also a Central Committee member of Sadbhawana Party, Jha said she was quitting the
party along with its general membership also.
