Prachanda again loud for the necessity of the party unification

Kathmandu, May 26.The top three Maoist leader have called for party unity in a single voice, who appeared together at a formal programme organized at the capital on today.

Speaking at the function organised by Revolutionary Journalist to mark 12th Memorial Day of Krishna Sen Ichhuk on Monday at the capital, UCPN-Maoist Chairman Prachanda, and senior leader Bhattarai,and CPN-Maoist Chairman Baidhya called for the unity between two Maoist parties.

UCPN-Maoist’s Chairman Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal called for party unity immidiate. Dahal has also echoed for the need of unity amongst all revolutionary forces of the country stating that Nepal has the potentiality to groom under communism even though it is in defensive mode across the world. He said,” For the sake of Communist movement in the Nepal, All revolutionary forces should be unite otherwise there might be collapsed the existence of the peoples war and movements.

Remembering his past nostalgics specially admitting the mistakes, Dahal called the Maoist leaders to contribute their parts to the national movement and give up their personal stances. “No one should pose any personal adamancy when it comes to party unity,” he said adding that unity is not possible unless a milieu of faith and sacrifice was formed.

Speaking at the same function, CPN-Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidhya has also echoed Dahal calling for the party unity. For that, Baidhya asked to hold parleys at leadership of the two parties. Baidhya stressed that party unity is impossible in the emotions. He said,” We need to form the minimum understanding among the leaders for building the party strong.

However, he ruled out the “emotional unity”, as demanded by Dr Bhattarai. According to Baidhya, unity has to be sought in the fundamental ideological line.

Similarly, Dr. Bhattarai has also agreed with the Baidhya that party unity is impossible in the emotion. Bhattarai stressed that party unity should be done by discussing on the issues of ideology. However Bhattarai claimed that the debate in the UCPN-Maoist party is for the reform of party not for obtaining the party position. He also complains that the big media houses are publishing the ideological debate of the party among pranchana and him as the individual quarrels.

In the function, Journo Mr. Kishore Shrestha was awarded with Krishna Sen Journalism Award of 2071.
