Prez exempts remaining jail term of 155 prisoners

KATHMANDU, MAY 29 – President Ram Baran Yadav has exempted the remaining prison term of 155 people serving their jail term at different prisons across the country, on the occasion of the Seventh Republic Day .

As per the Article (151) of the Interim Constitution-2063, President Yadav exempted the remaining jail term of the prisoners.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the official residence of the Prime Minister on Wednesday late night decided to exempt the rest of jail time of the prisoners showing good manner in the jail.

The Ministry of Home Affairs had presented the recommendation to the President on Wednesday night itself.
The meeting also recommended President Yadav to present decoration to different personalities
of the society for their remarkable contribution in national life. RSS
